Wasabi Mustard Chicken Burger

A Spicy-Gourmet Upgrade

Burgers are loved across the world, but this one comes with a zesty surprise! Juicy chicken patties paired with Mummy's Magic Wasabi Mustard deliver a sharp, fiery kick that makes every bite unforgettable. Perfect for weekend indulgence, casual get-togethers, or even movie nights.

Ingredients

For the Patties:

  • 500 gm ground chicken (keema)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 green chilli, finely chopped (optional)
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs (Japanese style Panko breadcrumbs are best)
  • 1 egg
  • Salt & Black Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Wasabi Mustard

For Assembly:

Method

  1. Prepare the Patties: In a large bowl, mix ground chicken (keema) with onion, garlic, chilli, breadcrumbs, egg, soy sauce, Wasabi Mustard, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties
  2. Cook the Patties: Heat a grill pan or skillet/ tawa with a drizzle of oil. Cook patties on medium-high heat for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked
  3. Toast the Buns: Butter the insides of the burger buns and toast lightly until golden
  4. Make the Sauce: Mix Dahi Ki Chutney with a spoonful of Wasabi Mustard for a creamy-spicy burger spread
  5. Assemble the Burgers:
    1. Spread the Wasabi-Dahi Ki Chutney spread on both the bun halves
    2. Layer lettuce/ arugula leaves, chicken patty, cheese slices, tomato and pickled onions/ gherkins
    3. Add a drizzle of extra Wasabi Mustard before topping with the bun

Serving Suggestion

Serve with crispy potato wedges or sweet potato fries, and a chilled drink. For a party version, make mini sliders with smaller buns (pav's work great) - they'll be a total crowd-pleaser!
